  • Dishwasher does not / will not start but the power is on
  • Dishwasher not working, LED is blinking

Applies to

  • integrated dishwasher
  • freestanding dishwasher

1. Make sure the door is fully closed.

Open and close the door again. If there is a click, this indicates that the door was closed properly.

2. Make sure the delay start function is disabled.

Cancel the Delay Start option. Consult the user manual for detailed instructions on disabling this mode.

3. Check if the previous cycle is still in progress.

If a cycle is still in progress it needs to be cancelled before programming the next cycle.

To cancel the cycle, please read the section regarding cancelling cycles in the user manual for the dishwasher.

On some models, the panel will show how you reset a cycle. Resetting may vary depending on the model so it is a good idea to check or download the user manual

*This is a general guide to solving this issue and may not be particular to your appliance.

To find more information specific to your appliance you may want to look at the user manual of your appliance. If you do not have a copy of your user manual, please click HERE to download a copy.

The appliance will return to program selection mode.

Control panel No. 2

Use CANCEL to:

  • Cancel a currently running programme.
  • Stop the countdown of Delay option.
  • Bring the appliance back to the programme selection mode.

To CANCEL: Press and hold simultaneously AUTO and and until the control panel indicates the appliance is in the programme selection mode.

For freestanding models*

Canceling the programme

Press and hold simultaneously Delay Start and Options until the appliance is in programme selection mode.

4. Check if "Ultra-quiet" or “Night" options are selected:

These options involve long pauses in the wash cycle, lasting up to 20 minutes. The cycle may still be running.

5. Check if there are any error messages or alarms:

The error message can be a flashing LED, a sequence of beeps, or a code shown on the display (i.e. i10, i30). Consult your user manual for detailed information on how to resolve the issue.

6. Check for possible power issues:

  • Make certain that the appliance is plugged in and switched on.
  • Plug another device into the same socket to determine whether there is power.
  • If the socket does not work, contact a local electrician to resolve the issue.

7. Check if there are tripped relays or a blown fuse.

  • Reset the circuit-breaker / RCD device or replace the fuse.
  • You can reset the circuit breaker by pushing the switch to the "ON" position.

8. The cycle may not start due to the lack of overlap between the lock and the diamond (applies to AirDry dishwashers).

To resolve this issue, refer to the article: "Dishwasher does not switch on, does not start a cycle, does not automatically open the door at the end of a cycle"

Contact an Authorised Service Centre.

If the above suggestions do not resolve the issue, we recommend requesting a visit by a service engineer.

Warning: We do not recommend using the product until the problem has been completely fixed. Unplug the product and do not plug it in again until you are certain that it is OK to do so.
